The PKGD Stewardship Charter defines the principles that govern how we operate, make decisions, grow, build partnerships, and carry our responsibilities to producers, brands, team members, partners, and the communities connected to our work.
The Charter serves as PKGD’s institutional foundation. It establishes what the company must protect and the standards against which significant decisions should be evaluated, particularly when growth, opportunity, capital, pressure, or convenience create competing priorities.
Transparency is one of PKGD’s core operating commitments.
We believe the people who work with PKGD should be able to understand the principles that govern our decisions and the standards to which we hold ourselves. This includes our team members, producers, distributors, retailers, suppliers, service providers, and other partners.
Publishing the PKGD Stewardship Charter makes those commitments visible and accountable. It provides a shared reference for how PKGD intends to approach producer authority, product integrity, growth, partnerships, capital, communication, leadership, accountability, and institutional responsibility.
Making the Charter public does not mean that every business decision, agreement, or confidential matter is public. It means that the principles behind those decisions should not be hidden.
Our goal is simple: the standards by which PKGD asks others to trust us should be clear enough for anyone working with us to understand.
The PKGD Stewardship Charter defines the principles that govern PKGD and the responsibilities the company accepts toward the brands, producers, people, relationships, culture, and trust placed in its care.
PKGD exists to steward producer-owned brands of world-class spirits. Its purpose is not simply to sell products or pursue growth, but to help worthy brands reach the right markets without losing the qualities, authority, identity, and integrity that made them worthy in the first place.
The Charter establishes stewardship as the standard by which PKGD evaluates its decisions, particularly when commercial pressure, opportunity, capital, scarcity, convenience, or growth create competing incentives.
At the center of the Charter are three non-negotiable commitments:
• Producer ownership and producer authority.
• World-class quality.
• Transparency.
These are not marketing claims. They are operating commitments intended to protect the integrity of the brands PKGD represents and the people responsible for creating them.
Producer ownership must be accompanied by meaningful producer authority.
The people closest to the product, process, place, and consequences of brand decisions must retain meaningful authority over product, process, standards, identity, and long-term direction.
PKGD may provide strategy, market knowledge, operational support, creative direction, and commercial guidance, but it must do so through collaboration and informed agreement rather than coercion.
Partnership, influence, or economic participation must increase PKGD’s responsibility without displacing the authority of the producer.
