The artisanal journey of Ultramundo Mezcal, 'from ranch to bottle,' begins in Rancho Pelayo, nestled in the Zona del Silencio in Mexico.
The process, carried out by expert mezcaleros, starts with the careful selection and hand-harvesting of mature agave hearts.
These piñas are slow-cooked in traditional earth ovens lined with volcanic stone, using mesquiteand oak wood.
The process continues with double distillation in copper stills over a wood fire. It is at this point that the living matter transforms into the final 48% ABV spirit, concentrating two decades of wild Lamparillo agave resistance—a finite gift shaped by the silence of Mapimí.
